every day a different picture. a different reel. a different discovery of the world around me.

Haaa, tiny little parking spots for tiny little two-wheeled vehicles! It makes me want to learn to drive one just to be able to park in one of these spots (although, chances of me being able to back one of these suckers into any designated area... not great).

We had a little friend wanting to come for a swim this morning.
Let me tell you, this fella is quite the jumper!

IT'S OPENNNNNN
How it took five weeks to fix a culvert I don't know (it's probably complicated)... but I'm pretty sure I could have done it faster myself. However, the road is back open, and it's a straight shot to Leaskdale! Woop Woop!

Making the fishie's home nice and beautiful... pulled nearly a whole wheelbarrow-ful of overgrown lillie-pads out of the pond.
It's a winning look for you, Dad! :D

I love those days where you feel lucky just to be included. That there's a sense of pride in being able to sit back and know that you are a member of a beautiful memory forming before your eyes. And, in that moment, if you can take a step back to realize what is happening in front of you - if you have the presence of mind to take a look into the memory you're now woven into, you might be able to smile at the beauty of the world, at the intricacy of our race, and be glad (for even just a moment) that you're alive.
... and then please, proceed to have another gin and tonic, because it certainly helps to make the feeling last :)

Stunning lady, beautiful day. If any two people deserve love and happiness and forever it's these two.

I got to go into this beaut of a building today and sit in front of a mic and tell 'Fresh Air' about Maud.... coolest place ever! Mary Ito is absolutely lovely, and I had the best time talking to her about one of the most fascinating women in Canadian history. Not a bad Friday at all.
Check out the interview here if you fancy. Go on, do it. You know you wanna.
